Does anyone else feel like they’re drowning with getting kids prepped for back to school? There’s at least one thing you can feel good about, though. And we can help you with it. It’s having the perfect pantry & kitchen for back to school. Let’s get started!
What if we told you that there are secrets to being the mom that looks like she’s got it all together? Let’s be real… we aren’t going to say that this will make you Super Mom…. but it may come close.
Let’s talk about getting that morning routine down. A good day starts with a balanced breakfast, but a hurried morning can turn into a messy kitchen and sugar-loaded kids. We can make this easier by creating a breakfast zone. By organizing your pantry and kitchen into “zones”, we create a system for easy access to everything they need to start their day.
Breakfast zones in the pantry can include cereals, oatmeal, granola, and fruit bars, placed next to breads and spreads. Your fridge can have a space for berries and yogurt on a shelf for a quick grab-and-go next to your eggs and milk.

Can you imagine being the parent that sends their kid to school with a healthy lunch that they packed themselves?? No sneaking Pop-Tarts on this mom’s watch!
But how, you ask? With a carefully thought out system! Creating a cool “kids zone” inspires independence and they will find JOY in packing fun and healthy lunches.
Grab a lunch box and let’s get started!

What does every lunch need? A sandwich.
Make sure there is a sandwich station at eye level. Place bread, bagels, pitas, etc in a basket or bin for easy access next to a spinner with all the spreads needed. Breads and spreads often end up in a transition zone as they are used for breakfast and lunch.
Next, we grab our crunchy snacks. Crackers, nuts, seeds, etc. in beautifully labeled, easy-to-read decanters or individually packaged snacks in fun spinners.

To the fridge! Here we will have a special lunch section as well. Yogurts, apple sauces, cheeses, fruits, veggies, milks, and juices are all sorted and ready for your kiddo to grab.

When they come home from school and need an energy boost before a hard homework sesh, have snacks readily available that will fuel them. Putting labeled bins filled with a selection of their favorite, parent-approved snacks at their level saves you time and makes choosing a little less overwhelming for them.
